Teh clash of teh titans....

The stage is set...almost everything is in place...a so called Brave man is about to take the reins from an old war chief for the first time in the Oz....even though the question was asked once before, when the same two sides competed last year around ,in the sub continent, this will be in the minds of the fans till the side defends its title the next time it comes under scrutiny...'Do the Indians really deserve being called champions????'...well,lemme save ma answer for the last....Ironically the tigers might want one more bite in the flesh of the kangarooo....just to show their superiority in this form of the game....I thought the test series was pretty closely competed and both the teams deserved sharing honors, but the results turned out to be otherwise...As we all know,in sports, results defy logic most of the time....i don't want to discuss any tactics here,i think the young Indian side really challenges the likes of Clarke and Hussey when it comes to fielding, which is so unlike the Indians...But there is one chink in the armor now, there is no Yuvraj...that i think will be a huge minus for the indians, let's see how costly his injury turns out to be...BUT,it is time to put discussions and reputations apart, and starting to expect a great clash with the aussies, for the first time in many years now to go as the underdogs in their home soil.....
And as far as ma answer to the question is concerned,"THE INDIANS DESERVE BEING CALLED CHAMPIONS AND THEY'LL HOPEFULLY PROVE IT ONCE AGAIN"......

Teh DAmned thing..

Even though the number of people who believe in superstition in india is dwindling,i do believe that there are a lot of 'em out there who believe there must be enough insight given to the past so as to let it decide what happens in the present. That according to me is complete Bullshit..Yes,giving an insight to what happened in the past is acceptable, but like everything else, only to an extent...Just because you failed over something in an attempt,it doesn't mean that you must think , no one in their right sense would try to do this again...I'd think that no one in their right sense would stop trying, putting the blame on superstition for their failures..Maybe you'd do well if you think over what went wrong and what should go right this time around without thinking about the right time to start this time or those stuff...i've written some lines to bring into note what i think would explain this situation....

I tried to touch it,to pluck it..
Alas i only got hurt...
Never again will i pluck it..
never will i get hurt...
Momma asks me,
"little boy,don't you like roses??
can you pluck it n give to me???"
Guess what i said???
"momma, roses are a symbol of evil...
It gave me blood when i tried to pluck it"

This is what i call the damned Superstition....All this said,i am sorry that even my own kin and friends believe in this stuff....Atleast i don't......

Life,without its thrill........

Just yesterday did i get to watch the movie 'NEXT' starring Nicholas cage, after waiting for a long time...The hero has this amazing power of seeing things before 2 minutes of the actual occurring time, except in his lover's(Jessica Beil) case, where he sees them much before they happen..
Well,i did like the film, in spite of the 'fictious' gift that the hero has got from the nature..

And after i had watched the movie,a thought crossed my mind,'What if I had this ability to see things, only two minutes before that is'.Even if it's hypothetical, there's no harm in imagining things, rite????WOw!!!!what a talent that'd turn out to be, You can think over what to do next just by seeing the immediate future, how to propose to a girl for an instance(that's a bit Playboyish!!!!),where to be,what to telll ,actually everything about thatidea amazed me...
But now let's come to the darker side, it's like knowing how the readers will react if this is posted like this. it's like knowing you're gonna die the next instant but can not do anything about it(that's too wierd to think)..Moreover you'll succeed in everything you do.If not everything,at least most of the times you will...That really spoils the thrill of success. Success without failure is like jam without bread, you may like it once, but becoming sick of it is just around the corner. It's like revealing a maze,in spite of the fact that u know what's ahead...
Honestly,Life,without it's thrill,is nothing...

Ten books i enjoyed reading........

10. The hound of the baskervilles
-sir arthur conan doyle:

This is where the habit book reading started for me...(i had read the count of monte cristo before this, but this was really what directed me towards book reading...).But,this is no reason for me in rating this as one among the ten....Let's get into the story..It is about how SHERLOCK HOLMES discovers the mystery behind the hound which has been haunting the lives of the family of the baskervilles ever since it killed HUGO BASKERVILLE in the seventeenth century. But,as we all know,'no plot is difficult for holmes to reveal',he did it again. If i tell you a single word more than this ,it'd become a spoiler to the book...

9. The Eldest
-Christopher paolini:
This book is one of the books i was waiting so eagerly to read after the success of its predecessors ERAGON,after the impact its story had on me...In this part,Eragon and his dragon Saphira undergo their training under the crippled rider Oromis And it also circles around the life of Ronan,Strong hammer as he begins to be called, and Nasauda, the succesor of her father Ajihad to lead THE VARDEN...But for the twist in the end, when eragon has to meet another rider in the Battle of the burning plains,a totally unexpected one at that, this story didn't amuse me much..But 'twas good enough to be in this list...

8.Children of hurin
-Tolkien

To be honest, i never knew about this book before finding it in ma college library two weeks ago
...I'd have missed it but for its author's name written in bold...It's story line goes beyond the time of the lord of the rings,at a time when Morgoth was the darkest power in the world and Sauron was just his lieutenant..It is about the life of Hurin and how his bloodline vanishes just because of the curse laid upon his kin by Morgoth....It is how Turin, his son, finds everything he does ending the wrong way, being separated from his mother at the age of 8, never to be seen alive again by her..

7. Bourne trilogy
- Robert luldum
An awesome work of action,I'd say. It circles around the life of David webb and his mysterious past as the assassin Jason bourne, which he seems to have lost in the first book of the trilogy, namely Bourne identity...as the trilogy progresses he seems to reveal to himself his past, in the process falling in love with Marie st.jacques but only to lose her at the start of the third part...And he tries to achieve the purpose of him becoming Bourne...

6.Time to kill
- john grisham
The first of the many books to be written by the hands of John grisham, was really a killer...
Empowered with an awesome narration the story circles around the trial of Carl lee hailey, for killing the 2 men who raped his 8 year old daughter,Tonya. He chooses the lawyer,Jake brigance to represent him. And how Jake saves him from being convicted with the simple idea of insanity is the story...

5.Eragon
-Christopher paolini
The predecessor of Eldest, this book was really an eye catcher. This book was which made the then fifteen year old boy paolini popular..
It is about how a boy named Eragon comes to find a dragon egg while hunting only to find out later that he was its so called 'rider'. It later turns that the village story teller Brom can help him in his way to fight against the betrayer of the riders,Galbatorix.Later he has to be parted from his uncle and family because of the dragon and his quest as a rider...In the process he meets the elf ,he keeps seeing in his dreams,Arya and rescues her from the shade,Durza..Later he fights for the warden killing the shade to be called the shadeslayer.
4.Murder of Dr.Roger ackroyd
-agatha christie

This is one story where the narrator turns out to be the killer, hats off to agatha christie for her talents in writing such a wonderful, gripping story. It starts of with the murder of Mrs. Ferrars,a wealthy widow ,rumoured to have murdered her husband..Then the death of Dr.Ackroyd throws some light on her suicide and this story pursues to reveal the way in which the great detective Hercule poirot, with help from Doctor sheppard, finds the murderer who was always near....

3.Harry potter and his adventures...
-j.k rowling

The boy wizard might be thought off as a fascination only for small kids, but i'll tell u, people can never be more mistaken. There are many of my friends who hate the series in spite of having known the popularity of the film just because they thought it was child's play...well,as far the story goes,i don't think i must throw some light on it...Anyways,it is about how the 11 year old boy,Harry potter, who believes to have lost his parents in an accident, finds himself belonging to another world and finds the truth behind his parent's death and tries to withstand the wraith of the dark lord Voldemort with sufficient help from the headmaster of hogwarts, the school of witch craft and wizardry, professor Dumbledore, and his two friends,Ron and Hermoine, only to kill him in the end..
2.The godfather
-Mario puzo
For a person who loved fantasies and larger than life characters, the godfather written by Mario puzo was a real change of course for me..It is an awesome work of drama ,i' d say centered on the Mafia..
This book centers on the Corleone family, one of the five powerful families...It is about how Don Corleone's son Micheal avenges his brother's death and the attack on his father by a Turk, which lead to the former...But this comes only in the later part of the book.Midway it describes the ascent of Corleone into power and also how his first son Sonny deals the situation in the aftermath of the attack on his father, during which he gets killed very badly....At last Corleone dies a natural death while tending his garden but only long after leaving all his powers onto his last son,Micheal's hands.

1.Lord of the rings
-J.r Tolkien
The lord of the rings is the book which i think is,was and will be the best book I've ever read in ma life. When a thousand odd paged book keeps you obsessed with it even while you don't give a damn about what is happening around you, you'd agree with me...It is tale of the one ring ,Sauron forged to control the other 16 rings which he distributed to elves, dwarves and men long before it was taken by Isildur...After many many years it ended up in the hands of bilbo baggins and later frodo baggins, the hobbits. Sauron however knows that this hobbit has the ring and must now be prevented from attaining it,otherwise doom shall fall on all,men and elves and dwarves alike....This can be done only by destroying the ring in the Mount doom ,where it was forged .Aragorn ,the Heir of isildur helps frodo indirectly in doing this by distracting the eyes of sauron, after he had defended the city of Gondor from the onslaught of the Sauron...and many more helped Frodo in his quest, for he was their only hope....

Now these are my lines in tribute of this book

Blind ,are the eyes of humans, who don't observe the beauty of nature.. Blind, are the eyes of readers, who didn care to read the ring lore.

My try at poetry.....

Hmmmm.....I've posted around 28 posts and it is some eight months since i got myself acquainted to the site blogger......But,first of all,i don't think there's any reason for me to forget this....'twas one of ma friends who inspired me in doing this and i've Neva looked back since.....honestly,i thank you,if you are reading this...and once again he has got something up his sleeve to inspire me(don think am trying to imitate you...) if you all want to know who and what am referring to check this out:
http://vinodh90.blogspot.com/
i just completed reading "THE CHILDREN OF HURIN",one more of the awesome works of Tolkien on the middle earth, but it revolves around the ill fate of the kin of Hurin(one of the kings) made to fall on them by Morgoth(mightier than Sauron of "the lord of the rings"..... And i got the idea of writing a poem just about something related to it...forgive me if am not good enough for you to have wasted your time on this....
The Morning is coming.....

Look at yourself, think of the deeds you have done...
Good, bad or whatever they may be...
Think of what made you do them, and what they made to others..
Fair as an elf,you would be if they were good...
Dark as the towers of the north you would be,if they were fully bad...
Don't you dread yourself?? for you are none among both...
What you did were neither good, nor bad were they,completely.....
We have no Morgoth,to choose our fate...
Nor do we have the elf queen MELIAN to save us from the darkness..
What we think decides what we do...
what we do decides what we will be..
Give heed to fear and counsel,
but don't let them take control of you...
Don't flee your friends,at the sight of your mightier enemy,
you might be stabbed on the back by one of them..
Never forget the past or the future,
for they decide what is your present...
Think of all these while seeing yourself at the mirror,
Morning is not far away......

I don't think there should be any need for explaining these lines...this is ma tribute to 'Turin, son of hurin...the victim of fate.......
